A Proud Day for Mynott Bowers Group

Today was a very proud day for Mynott Bowers Group. Both of our Associate Director’s Sampath Dissanayaka, and Gayantha Wijesinghe attended the ICBT Campus Graduation.

Sampath and Gayantha were presented with their MBA awards in Project Management from Cardiff Metropolitan University. The ceremony was held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo.

Mynott Bowers Managing Director, Chris Bowers was also in attendance at the ceremony. Chris said:

“Today I had the privilege of watching in admiration as two young men who have been with our Sri Lanka company from its start in 2017, graduated MBA. Sampath Dissanayaka and Gayantha Wijesinghe represent the best in Sri Lankans. They are intelligent, hard-working, resourceful, dedicated, quick to smile, slow to anger, and their efforts in our business lead it forward.

They have sacrificed much over the last couple of years in working to develop their business skills and today their reward was the presentation by Cardiff Metropolitan University of an MBA specialising in Project Management. Gayantha also received a medal for academic excellence.

I was honoured to receive an invitation from them to attend. I cannot tell you how proud am, I along with my co-director Derek Mynott, to see their efforts recognised. These are two exceptional people and since they were made Associate Directors of Mynott Bowers in 2024, both have grown in prestige and confidence, and are at the forefront of our company. Both have a great future ahead with Mynott Bowers Group as they contribute hugely to the success of the company.

These guys are a major part of the driving force of our Sri Lanka company and they have worked hard on top of that responsibility over the last two years enhancing their core business knowledge.

We are certain that their studies will move them forward in their careers with MBG and that their knowledge can be used to further develop our company.

Proud?? That hardly explains how I felt when they received their awards. I’m utterly delighted for them. Onwards and upwards gentlemen!!”

During a sparkling ceremony Kandyan drummers led in the stage party before the traditional lighting of the oil lamp. There was then dancing by a Kandyan ladies dance troupe before the ceremony itself began.
