Derek reflects on 2021 in a message sent to all…

Derek’s Christmas message to colleagues, clients, family and friends:

Reflecting on the year of 2021

As 2021 draws to an end, I can hear the sighs of relief as we reflect on the impact that the Global Pandemic has had not only on our economy and our businesses but more predominantly on the people that have suffered loss, loneliness, illness and much more. As someone that has run businesses for many years, never has it been so important for me to ensure that the wellbeing of my staff has been considered in every single decision we have been forced to make throughout the pandemic. It’s the year that many people simply cannot-wait-to-leave-behind along with much of the previous year (2020).

I would like us all to pause and reflect on some of the positive lessons learnt this year and ensure that we all take these into the year ahead:

Time is precious – spend time with loved ones as much as possible, don’t put off making that telephone call, sending a message or just doing something you’ve always dreamed of

Help others – listen, talk and help someone else by whatever means, look out for your family, friends and work colleagues

Respect – respect one another, we all have different opinions, beliefs and standards, even if it doesn’t mean anything to you, it could mean everything to them

Be kind – everyone is fighting their own battle

I offer my condolences to those that have suffered or are still suffering as a result of the Global Pandemic. Here’s to better times ahead!

Thank you to all those that have supported myself and Mynott Associates in 2021. May I wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas break and a new year filled with health, happiness and prosperity.

I look forward to speaking with many of you in the New Year!

Best regards,

Derek Mynott
