WILLMOTT DIXON ESTIMATOR’S PUB QUIZ SUCCESS!

On the evening of Thursday 2nd October 2025, Mynott Bowers UK hosted an Estimator’s Pub Quiz for one of their valued clients Willmott Dixon Construction. The social event was held in the private ‘Waiting Room‘ at the Parcel Yard public house at Kings Cross Station.

Estimators were invited to attend from Willmott Dixon’s London & East office in Hitchin, as well as the South regional offices in Dartford, Farnborough, and Weybridge. The event had a strict agenda of ‘no office talk’!

Cassie Larham, Group Business Development Manager at Mynott Bowers made her debut as a Quiz Master with a selection of topics including: Music, Sports, Name the Celebrity, Geography & Travel, and a Name the Animal Sounds as a wildcard round at the end. There was a good variety of questions so everyone could join in. Some answers were disputed causing some humorous banter between the competitive teams. Who’d have known a Rooster is also known as a Cockerill (without using Google)?!

Both Mynott Bowers Managing Director’s Derek Mynott, and Chris Bowers attended the quiz night. Derek said: “Everyone enjoyed the evening. We’ve previously organised corporate dinners as a way of thanking our clients which have been well received however, I felt this was more relaxed and personable. Willmott Dixon estimators were able to enjoy some time out of the office with their teams, and also to meet colleagues from other regional offices. For me, being able to put faces to names of people we speak to so much was a highlight!”

Whilst some individuals couldn’t hold back their competitiveness, it was all done in good humour and at the end of the night talk of making it an annual event echoed the room. Winners of Willmott Dixon Estimators Pub Quiz 2025 were from the South regional offices and having named themselves after a few beers we’ll refer to them as WD South Team 1.
